Veterans shape the future of energy As a Budget Analyst, you will: Develop, write, and present multi-million dollar budget requests and funding justifications for complex, agency-wide programs. Analyze, edit, and combine budget estimates and resource requests from subordinate offices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with agency goals. Oversee the allocation of funds, prepare official requests for apportionments or supplemental funding, and track expenditures to prevent over- or under-spending. Audit financial transactions, obligations, and disbursements to ensure full compliance with federal laws, legal guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Provide expert recommendations and strategic options to program managers and senior executives regarding budget adjustments, legislative changes, and policy impacts. Provide expert guidance for all travel related issues ensuring that all aspects of booked travel adhere to all government travel regulations."]
