Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. NOTICE: Please carefully read ROK entry requirements in "How to Apply" section. ***Special Note for Military Members*** MILITARY RETIREES: A retired member of the Armed Forces may not be appointed to a civilian position in DoD (including a non-appropriated fund position) within 180 days after retirement unless the following conditions have been met: the Secretary concerned authorizes the appointment; or the position is authorized special pay under 5 U.S.C. 5305; or a state of national emergency exists. MILITARY SEPARATED: Military members may be appointed while on terminal leave, before the effective date of their military separation. Applications will only be accepted from members of the Armed Forces that indicate they are immediately appointable within 120 days.["Manages and executes housing services branch activities by developing, adapting and interpreting DOD, DA, and IMCOM-P directives.","Plans, coordinates and supervises the on-post housing (unaccompanied), off-post community housing, and the distribution and disposition of Government controlled housing and facilities.","Conducts surveys and inspections and prepares reports regarding acquisition, disposal, furnishing, maintenance, repair and improvement (MRI), utilization, reallocation, leasing and housing referral.","Serves as model and lead branch for quality customer service to meet IMCOM-P Quality of Life (QOL) standards.","Supervises subordinate employees assigned to the branch, determines overall work plans and priorities, and develops performance standards.","Interfaces with Company and Battalion level 1st Sergeants, Commanders, Garrison Command Sergeant Major, landlords, Staff Judge Advocates (SJA), Inspectors General (IG), and others to resolve disputes and assure compliance.","Provides input to the development of long-range and annual work plans for construction, utilization, operation and maintenance of housing assets."]
